Hospital Props & Forensics Equipment for The Bay
The first series of brand-new drama “The Bay” recently concluded on ITV. The six-part crime drama, which was set in the coastal town of Morecambe, follows Detective Sergeant Lisa Armstrong who has been assigned to a case investigating the disappearance of two missing children.
As the Family Liaison Officer, Lisa is there to support the Meredith family through their ordeal, but she soon realises she has a personal connection with the case that could jeopardise everything.
Medical Hire were delighted to be asked to supply medical props for filming of the dramatic new series and provided a wide range of equipment for various scenes throughout the film schedule.
For scenes where main suspect, Nick, was badly injured and rushed to hospital, Medical Hire provided a wide range of hospital props and equipment.
To furnish the set, the team supplied general ward electrical and manual beds plus mattresses, a full range of bedding, patient and visitor chairs, bedside cabinets, disposable curtains, and other fixtures and fittings.
For scenes where Nick was being treated for his injuries, Medical Hire provided a drip stand, fluid bags and a giving set, surgical gowns, aprons, latex gloves, and a host of accessories and consumables.
Medical Hire also supplied a wide range of forensics equipment for scenes where the crime officers were collecting evidence and carrying out their investigations. The team provided crime scene disaster suits, a range of evidence collection kits, evidence collection bags, sterile paper, and a variety of other accessories.
Throughout the series, viewers see Nick’s wheelchair-bound mother, Sue, who he lives with and cares for.
