Medical Hire Feature in Corrie Hope Cancer Storyline
Medical Hire were thrilled to have played a significant part in one Coronation Street’s latest key storylines where young character Hope is diagnosed with a form of childhood cancer.
The storyline commenced during the summer of 2015 when Hope – the daughter of Fiz and Tyrone – became ill whilst on a camping trip. Following a series of tests and a biopsy, medics revealed that Hope had cancer, after which she attended hospital regularly to undergo treatment.
Helping the scriptwriters to ensure the hard-hitting storyline was portrayed as accurately as possible, the Medial Hire team became involved early-on. Through their network of paediatric nurses and oncology advisors, the Corrie team were provided with professional expertise and advice on cancer treatment wards and equipment.
